So you’ve come up with an idea.
It’s the best idea you’ve ever had. It’s going to change how the industry functions.
But there’s a problem.
Sure you have an invention idea. You just don’t know what to do with an invention idea.
Well, I can tell you the first two steps you’ll need to do:
- Contact an engineer or product development group. They’ll help you iron out the details of your design and put your design into a 3D CAD format (which, as you’ll remember, you need in order to get quotes or prototypes made).
Contact a few different groups so you can make sure to get the best deal possible. Not all design firms are created equal though, so you’ll have to really consider what they’re offering versus what you need and can afford to pay.
If you have electronic components to your idea, it will be more complicated to create and will probably take a little bit more time and money.
- After you have your design finalized and your 3D CAD in hand, that’s when you’ll contact us. We’ll take the CAD drawings and create prototypes for you.
You’ll take the prototypes and see how you like the design. You can test their functionality and show them off to investors.
You can also use the prototypes to help get additional funding for their Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaigns, or to sell your idea to a store.
If you have an idea you want to work on, feel free to email us with some of the specifics. We can help give you a little advice or maybe recommend a design firm to work with you on this project.
