Finish Comparison

3d printed part has finish with visible layers or ridges in the part. A secondary polishing operation can be applied in order to smooth out the ridges.

CNC machined parts have a finish with visible tool marks. While the finish is typically smoother than 3d printed part the surface still has some roughness. A secondary polishing operation can be applied in order to smooth out the tool marks

Prototype molded parts have the best surface finish characteristics. The finish on the part will come out as it is on the mold. You can select from a wide array of texture and patterns for example sand texture, wood grain, dimple pattern and many more
